Having in common a classical training - with instruments which do not commonly have place within the band's line-up such as the concert harp, the double-bass or the... pipe organ - the four BYPASS core members (Bruno Coelho, Eduardo Raon, Miguel Menezes and Rui Dias) managed to achieve from a very early stage a strong musical empathy among themselves.They have known how to combine theory and experimentalism in a permanent struggle that would give birth to this densely textured
Rock. Essentially instrumental, thorough, lab-like and luxuriously timbre abundant. Dozens of both tiny and big instruments were brought to the studio (as often happens in a BYPASS concert), some made by themselves, e. g. the baritone Lapsteel guitar and other readymade musical instruments. Among those who know BYPASS from concerts, from the "BYPASS" Ep debut or even from early demos the question 'When will the album come out?' will no longer be put. It was worth waiting for though, as "Mighty Sounds Pristine" clearly proves in the details and
determination revealed by the band in the intricate web of microscopic sounds of their songs.
